A major UK transportation company is offering an 18-month apprenticeship for a Data Technician. This program will teach participants how to source, manage, analyze, and present data effectively while working closely with various stakeholders. Candidates will gain a nationally recognized qualification and may also achieve the Microsoft Excel Specialist certification. The apprenticeship combines online and face-to-face learning at Exeter College, providing substantial support throughout the journey.
Quest Apprenticeship - Level 3 Data Technician

Quest apprenticeships are aimed at colleagues who currently work for GWR, and give learners the opportunity to gain new skills, knowledge and behaviours that can be put into practice in the workplace and are a great development opportunity. This 18-month programme will be delivered through online and face to face learning. Sessions will take place twice a month online with every third session being face to face at the Hele Road Institute of Technology site in Exeter.
Once training and portfolio building has been concluded there will be an End Point Assessment where you will have the opportunity to showcase your work. Tutors from Exeter College will work with you and support you to prepare you for the End Point Assessment.
Through studying this programme you will gain a nationally recognised qualification, learn new skills and knowledge and become more productive and effective. There is the possibility to also gain the Microsoft Excel Specialist certification which is widely recognised by industry.
GWR apprentices say that they enjoy learning in adulthood, building their confidence and meeting colleagues all over the network, as well as having their work valued and analysed by highly rated Exeter college tutors.
The programme will be delivered by Ofsted Outstanding Exeter College. As well as online and face to face taught sessions, you will also have planned eight weekly reviews with your Skills Officer and GWR mentor to discuss progress and on programme support.
