IQM Quantum Computers in the United Kingdom seeks an experienced Program Manager to synchronize contracted milestones with the strategic roadmap. You will lead cross-functional teams of engineers and physicists, ensuring evidence-based milestone approvals, and manage cost and schedule across complex hardware-software programs.

You’ll work with legal, IP, and commercial teams, coordinating with subcontractors and academic partners to align funded work with IQM’s product roadmap while mitigating

Qualifications

• 8+ years running complex technical programs where hardware and software come together.
• Familiarity with the UK funding system and what assessors and auditors expect.
• Depth to read a quantum computing system architecture and challenge an estimate.
• Equal credibility with physicists, funders and executives; stay calm under scrutiny.
• Bonus: delivery experience with Innovate UK, SBRI, or DSIT-type programs.
• Bonus: background in quantum technologies or HPC/data centres.

Responsabilités

• Run milestone delivery end to end, owning schedule, evidence and payments.
• Keep the critical path honest across hardware-plus-software programs.
• Maintain a living risk register with owners and mitigations.
• Connect funded work to IQM’s product roadmap and track drift.
• Flag early when funded scope and roadmap drift apart.
• Collaborate with legal, IP, commercial, subcontractors and the exec team.
