Job summary

Connect Scaffolding Ltd is seeking a proactive Quantity Surveyor to blend site-based commercial work with estimating and tendering responsibilities. You will oversee multiple scaffolding projects from award to final account, negotiate terms, and support bids to secure commercially sound proposals.

The role requires strong analytical and negotiation skills, excellent communication, and the ability to travel to site for valuations and meetings. A focus on teamwork and cost control is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in estimating and/or quantity surveying is required.
• Solid understanding of scaffolding systems, materials, and methods is advantageous.
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills are essential.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and ability to work with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple scaffolding projects from contract award to final account.
• Negotiate terms and manage commercial risk in line with scope.
• Maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and team members.
• Monitor progress and resolve obstacles to ensure budget and programme adherence.
• Document variations, change management, and project updates.
• Prepare payment applications and cost-value reconciliations.
• Support estimating, bid preparation, and tender analysis for proposals.
• Forecast revenue for projects under commercial control.
• Travel to site for valuations and account meetings as required.
