About the Company

Our client is a leading Tier One residential developer, renowned for delivering high-quality, design-led communities across London and the South East. With an extensive pipeline of large-scale mixed-use and residential projects, they are now seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on a flagship multi-phase development in Docklands, East London.

The Role

As Quantity Surveyor, you'll be an integral part of an experienced commercial team, taking responsibility for the financial management of a range of internal and external packages from procurement through to final account. You'll play a key role in ensuring commercial objectives are met while maintaining the company's reputation for quality and value.

  • Manage allocated packages (both internal and external) through the full project lifecycle – from procurement to final account.
  • Prepare and monitor budgets, cost plans, valuations, and forecasts.
  • Assess subcontractor applications and variations, ensuring accurate and timely payments.
  • Work closely with design, construction, and procurement teams to ensure commercial efficiency and value engineering opportunities.
  • Produce accurate cost reports and support senior commercial management in monthly reporting cycles.
  • Support contract negotiations and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
About You
  • Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience working on large-scale residential or mixed‑use developments (ideally with a main contractor or developer).
  • Strong understanding of JCT contracts and procurement routes.
  • Excellent analytical and negotiation skills, with keen commercial awareness.
  • Confident communicator and team player, able to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
