Overview
We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support the redevelopment of a regional airport, with a focus on enhancing the customer journey and commercial viability. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a high‑impact project that reimagines the passenger experience from security to departure.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead cost planning and commercial management across phases of the airport refurbishment.
- Provide detailed cost analysis for remodelling passenger flow, ensuring optimal exposure to retail and duty‑free areas.
- Support the design and implementation of upgraded toilet facilities, ensuring alignment with passenger expectations and budget constraints.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and operational teams to ensure cost‑effective delivery of design intent.
- Prepare tender documentation, manage procurement processes, and evaluate contractor bids.
- Monitor project budgets, forecast expenditures, and manage variations.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and airport standards.
- Work on the terminal in arrivals and departures to support design specifications and customer experience enhancements.
- Coordinate with Head of Security and other stakeholders to align guidelines.

- Passenger Flow Redesign: Transition from a direct route to Wetherspoons to a curated journey through duty‑free and key retail zones.
- Toilet Experience Upgrade: Deliver a modern, clean, and accessible washroom experience that reflects best‑in‑class airport standards.
- Cost Intelligence: Provide strategic insights into cost drivers, value engineering opportunities, and lifecycle costing.
Requirements
- Proven experience in infrastructure or commercial refurbishment projects, ideally within transport or aviation.
- Strong understanding of cost planning, procurement, and contract administration.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- RICS or equivalent qualification preferred.
- Newly qualified professionals are considered.
- Flexible with contract length (3–6 months with potential for permanent post).
- Ability to work both on‑site at the airport and remotely if required.
- Willingness to work Monday‑Friday, 38.5 hours per week (0830‑1700) and consideration for part‑time arrangements.
