Job summary

PPM Recruitment is assisting a well-established contractor in Reading to recruit a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor for our commercial team. The role covers pre-construction through final accounts on projects up to £50 million.

You will manage commercial and contractual aspects, work with clients and supply chain, and contribute to profitable project delivery across stadia, hospitality, and commercial sectors. Competitive benefits and clear progression paths are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level or higher in Quantity Surveying or related construction discipline.
• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor in construction.
• Strong commercial and contractual knowledge with experience from procurement through final account.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial aspects from tender through final account.
• Prepare cost plans, estimates, budgets, and forecasts.
• Review tenders and procure subcontractors/suppliers.
• Manage subcontractor procurement and tender processes.
• Administer contracts, valuations, variations, and payments.
• Monitor project costs, cash flow, margins and performance.
• Identify commercial risks and opportunities across the lifecycle.
• Lead variations, change orders, and final accounts negotiations.
• Maintain accurate commercial records and report to senior management.
