Senior Quantity Surveyor - Consultancy (Oxford)

Location: Oxford, Oxfordshire

About the Role

We are seeking experienced Senior Quantity Surveyors to join our established consultancy team in Oxford. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering cost management and contract administration services across a diverse portfolio of projects, including commercial, residential, education, and public sector schemes.

This position offers the opportunity to work with prestigious clients, mentor junior staff, and progress towards Associate/Director level within the practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the delivery of pre- and post-contract cost management services.
  • Prepare feasibility studies, cost estimates, cost planning, and value engineering.
  • Manage procurement, tendering, and contract administration (JCT/NEC).
  • Undertake risk management, financial reporting, and final accounts.
  • Provide strategic cost advice to clients and stakeholders.
  • Mentor and support junior surveyors and APC candidates.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, contributing to business growth.
Requirements
  • MRICS qualification is essential (Chartered Quantity Surveyor).
  • Minimum 5 years' post-qualification experience in a consultancy environment.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, particularly JCT and NEC.
  • Proven track record of managing projects from inception to completion.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and client-facing skills.
  • Ability to lead teams and manage workloads effectively.
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
