Job summary

Thorn Baker Recruitment Ltd in Bristol is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage the commercial aspects of high-end residential projects from pre-construction to completion. You will work closely with clients, consultants and subcontractors to control budgets, forecast costs, prepare valuations and final accounts, and ensure projects are delivered on time and to the highest standards.

Experience in high-end residential construction is essential.
Strong commercial and financial management skills are required.
Ability to manage subcontractors and supply chain relationships.

Responsibilities

Manage the commercial and financial performance of projects.
Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts and cost plans.
Produce valuations, applications for payment and final accounts.
Manage subcontractor procurement and accounts.
Prepare, manage and agree variations.
Monitor project costs and identify commercial risks.
Assist with tendering and procurement activities.
Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers.
Produce regular commercial reports.
Work closely with Project and Site Management teams.
Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and supply chain partners.
Ensure projects are delivered within budget and to the required quality standards.
