Quantity Surveyor - Water Projects

We are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team and support the delivery of high-quality projects across our portfolio. You'll play a key role in cost management, contract administration, and value optimisation - ensuring that projects are delivered efficiently, profitably, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage applications for payment, valuations, and cost value reconciliations.
- Monitor cost control and forecasting, supporting the preparation of monthly reports on value, cost, profit/loss, and cash flow.
- Manage and develop supply chain relationships.
- Assist in Risk and Value Management to help optimise project delivery.
- Mentor and collaborate with the wider project team to ensure consistent commercial performance.
- Administer contracts, including the use of various contractual forms, budgetary control methods, and relevant software tools.
- Prepare subcontract enquiries, negotiate terms, and set up subcontract agreements.
- Maintain up-to-date records, notifications, and contractual documentation.
- Identify and communicate safety or risk concerns to site management.
- Liaise regularly with site teams, subcontractors, and client representatives.
- Provide contractual and commercial advice to site teams as required.
Person Specification
Essential:
- Minimum 1 year post-graduation experience in a Quantity Surveying role.
- HNC in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
- Working towards professional membership (RICS or ICES).
- Strong communication, analytical, and organisational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant contract management software.
