Job summary

Laing O''Rourke is recruiting a Quantity Surveyor in Chelmsford for work linked to National Grid''s Great Grid Partnership. The role is permanent and focuses on power, energy or infrastructure projects with duties to measure, value, and manage interim payments and subcontract packages.

The surveyor will report monthly costs, assist with subcontracts, and maintain commercial records while advising project managers on contractual effects.

Qualifications

• Experience administering live subcontract packages under NEC contracts.
• Degree in Quantity Surveying required.
• Membership of RICS preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Measure and value work and prepare interim payment applications.
• Manage live subcontract packages and draft/settle subcontracts.
• Maintain commercial records and advise project managers on contractual effects.
