Are you ready to take full commercial responsibility for major projects? This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join a respected main contractor delivering complex builds across Hertfordshire. With projects up to £10m in value, you’ll support and lead on key schemes in the medical, defence, retail, and commercial sectors, all without the need to commute into London.

The Quantity Surveyor Role

You’ll be managing the commercial aspects of multiple projects from procurement through to final account, working closely with the Commercial Manager and Project Managers to ensure successful delivery. This is a hands-on role offering autonomy, progression, and exposure to high-value, technically challenging schemes.

The Quantity Surveyor

• 4–8 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor within a main contracting environment.
• Strong understanding of NEC and JCT forms of contract.
• Proven ability to manage projects independently up to £5m or support larger schemes.
• Excellent commercial and negotiation skills.
• Ambitious, detail-oriented, and client-facing.
• Based in or commutable to Hertfordshire.
