Quantity Surveyor
£55,000 - £70,000 per annum

Stevenage, Hertfordshire
Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and financial forecasts for construction projects.
- Monitor and manage project costs to ensure they remain within agreed budgets.
- Conduct detailed cost analysis and prepare variance reports, identifying risks and opportunities.
- Lead procurement activities, including the preparation of tender documentation and the evaluation of bids.
- Oversee contract management, ensuring compliance with all terms and conditions.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and project stakeholders, ensuring clear and effective communication.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Ensure all projects comply with health and safety regulations, contractual obligations, and company standards.
- Compile and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including reports, records, and correspondence.
Qualifications
- A degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a Quantity Surveying role within the construction industry.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and problem‑solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement.
- Effective time management and organizational abilities to meet project deadlines.
- A proactive, self‑motivated approach with a focus on delivering results.
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.
- A thorough understanding of construction processes and contractual law is advantageous.
