Qualifications

  • HND or higher qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction or equivalent.
  • Must have residential/housebuilder experience.
  • Strong commercial awareness and a good understanding of budget management.
  • Excellent communication and networking skills.
  • Good IT skills and proficient with COINs and other relevant software.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to reconcile potential cost disputes.
  • Able to work independently and part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.

Quantity Surveyor Location: Nottinghamshire
Company: UK Leading Housebuilder
Salary & Package : £50,000 - £60,000 package (will pay more for exceptional candidates)
Quantity Surveyor Opportunity

Responsibilities
  • Preparing and managing detailed cost plans, budgets, and forecasts for residential projects
  • Conducting regular valuations and cost reporting to track financial progress
  • Managing procurement processes and negotiating subcontractor and supplier contracts
  • Identifying and mitigating financial risks throughout the project lifecycle
  • Collaborating closely with project managers, contractors, and clients to control costs
  • Ensuring compliance with contractual and company policies, and maintaining accurate cost reporting and documentation
