We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor with a background in fit out and construction to join our dynamic project delivery team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost control, procurement, and commercial management throughout the project lifecycle — from pre-contract to final account. You will work closely with project managers, site teams, and clients to ensure financial targets are achieved, risks are mitigated, and projects are delivered to the highest standards of quality and value.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and manage cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documentation for fit out and construction projects.
  • Conduct cost analysis and value engineering to optimize project budgets and profitability.
  • Manage subcontractor procurement, including tendering, negotiation, and contract administration.
  • Prepare, review, and monitor interim valuations, progress payments, and variations.
  • Maintain accurate cost tracking, forecasting, and reporting to the Commercial Manager and project stakeholders.
  • Assess and agree final accounts with clients and subcontractors.
  • Support contract compliance and manage claims, disputes, and risk assessments.
  • Collaborate with the design, site, and project management teams to ensure commercial and technical alignment.
  • Provide input to project feasibility studies and budgets for future opportunities.
  • Ensure all commercial processes are compliant with company policies, procedures, and industry standards.
Qualifications
  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in quantity surveying within fit out, refurbishment, or construction environments.
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts (JCT, NEC, or equivalent).
  • Proficient in cost management software and MS Office (Excel, Word, Project).
  • Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong negotiation and communication abilities with clients and subcontractors.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
  • Experience in commercial interiors, retail fit outs, or office refurbishments.
  • Knowledge of sustainability and modern construction techniques.
  • Experience working within main contractor or fit out specialist environments.
