Job Opportunity: Assistant or Quantity Surveyor

We are a main contractor with a solid reputation in the commercial new build and fit‑out sector, currently experiencing a period of sustained growth. With a strong pipeline of upcoming projects, we are looking to expand our team and are seeking a Graduate Quantity Surveyor or an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic and friendly office.

About the Role

This is an office‑based position at our headquarters in Kidderminster, with regular opportunities to visit live construction sites. The successful candidate will play a vital role in the commercial success of our projects – measuring, managing costs, analysing data, and supporting procurement and valuations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in or lead cost planning, budgeting, and cost control
  • Prepare and evaluate tenders and contracts
  • Conduct measurement and valuation tasks
  • Collaborate with project managers and site teams
  • Monitor project progress and produce financial reports
  • Support procurement and supplier negotiations
  • Ensure projects are delivered within agreed budgets and timelines
Candidate Requirements

Education:

  • A degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a closely related discipline is essential.

Experience:

  • Quantity Surveyor or Assistant with Quantity Surveying experience.
  • Experience with Bluebeam is desirable but not essential.
