Linsco is a well-established and respected construction company currently recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor. My client delivers a wide range of projects in housing and also looks at other construction industries, looking at all stages of experience. Responsibilities
  • Managing the commercial and financial aspects of contracts, ensuring that projects are delivered efficiently, profitably, and in line with client expectations.
  • Working closely with operational teams and senior management, contributing to the success of multiple planned works schemes.
  • Managing the financial and contractual aspects of planned maintenance projects.
  • Preparing and managing budgets, forecasts, and cost reports.
  • Overseeing procurement, tendering, and contract negotiation with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Producing valuations, applications for payment, and final accounts.
  • Managing variations, change control, and risk management.
  • Liaising with site teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure effective delivery.
  • Monitoring project costs and progress to ensure works are completed on time and within budget.
  • Ensuring compliance with contractual requirements, company policies, and health & safety standards.
  • Supporting the mentoring and development of junior commercial staff as required.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within planned maintenance, refurbishment, or housing frameworks/Construction.
  • Strong knowledge of contract management, ideally JCT and NEC.
  • Track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • RICS membership or working towards is advantageous.
  • Strong numerical, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Proactive and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
