They are building a dynamic team and are looking to add an ambitious Quantity Surveyor (QS) to their team.
Job Description
This role is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Quantity Surveyor / Estimator with refurb background to join an expanding team in a fast‑paced environment. The successful candidate will work across a variety of fit‑out and refurbishment projects in the retail, leisure, and hospitality sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing and submitting tender submissions for a range of fit‑out and refurbishment projects across the retail, leisure, and hospitality sectors.
- Managing and controlling project costs, ensuring that all works are completed within budget and in line with project specifications.
- Providing accurate cost estimates and valuations, and maintaining cost control during the project lifecycle.
- Managing the procurement of subcontractors and materials, ensuring value for money and on‑time delivery.
- Producing regular reports and forecasts on project progress, costs, and margins.
- Assisting in contract administration and ensuring compliance with all relevant contractual obligations.
- Coordinating with the project management team to resolve any commercial or contractual issues.
- Conducting site visits to assess progress and resolve any issues on‑site.
- Maintaining strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project delivery.
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Estimator, ideally within the refurbishment sector (Retail, Leisure, Care Homes, or Hotels).
- Strong knowledge of tendering processes, cost estimating, and contract administration.
- Experience in managing project costs from start to finish, with a solid understanding of financial reporting.
- Knowledge of procurement processes and supplier/subcontractor management.
- Familiarity with fast‑paced environments and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills with a proactive approach to problem‑solving.
