Overview

Our client, a well-established company specialising in groundworks, is currently seeking a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Canterbury, Kent.

Responsibilities
  • Overseeing and managing all costs related to groundworks projects
  • Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities
  • Undertaking cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work
  • Providing advice on contractual claims and procurement strategy
  • Maintaining awareness of the different building contracts in current use
  • Ensuring project costs do not exceed budgets
  • Conducting site visits and valuations
  • Liaising with clients and contractors to ensure smooth project delivery
Job Requirements
  • Experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor
  • Strong understanding of NEC and JCT contracts
  • Proficiency in cost management and tendering processes
  • Detailed knowledge of groundworks and construction methodologies
  • Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage multiple projects
  • Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field
