Commercial & Industrial New Builds and Refurbishments

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join our team, specialising in the delivery of new build and refurbishment projects across the commercial and industrial sectors. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, managing project budgets, and ensuring financial efficiency from tender through to completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for new build and refurbishment projects (commercial and industrial sheds).
  • Conduct quantity take-offs, material and labour cost analysis, and subcontractor pricing.
  • Manage project budgets, valuations, and cost reporting throughout all project phases.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and design teams to ensure cost-effective project delivery.
  • Assess and negotiate variations, claims, and final accounts.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of construction methods, materials, and market rates.
Requirements
  • Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in estimating and quantity surveying within the commercial and industrial construction sectors.
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts and procurement processes.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office suite.
