Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a QS/Estimator role within steel fabrication or construction.
• Ability to interpret fabrication drawings and specifications.
• Excellent commercial and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates and detailed quotations for fabrication and installation projects.
• Analyse tender documents, drawings, and specifications.
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
• Submit tenders and follow up with clients.
• Monitor and control project costs and variations.

We are now seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join our growing team and support the company’s continued expansion.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates and detailed quotations for fabrication and installation projects.
• Analyse tender documents, drawings, and specifications.
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
• Submit tenders and follow up with clients, negotiating terms where appropriate.
• Monitor and control project costs and variations.
• Identify new tender opportunities and contribute to business development.
• Conduct onsite meetings and assist with confirmation of dimensions

Essential Criteria

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a QS/Estimator role within steel fabrication or construction.
• Ability to interpret fabrication drawings and specifications.
• Excellent commercial and analytical skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of estimating software advantageous.

Desirable

• HNC/HND or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction, or Engineering.
• Strong understanding of mild steel, stainless steel, and structural steel products.
