The Opportunity

A leading building contractor specialising in high‑end city centre fit‑outs is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a major project in Edinburgh. This is a hands‑on role offering the opportunity to manage all commercial aspects of a high‑profile fit‑out.

Role Overview

As Quantity Surveyor, you will take responsibility for cost management, commercial reporting, and contract administration throughout the project lifecycle. You will work closely with the project and site teams to ensure the project is delivered on budget, on time, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost reports
  • Value works, manage variations, and maintain cost control
  • Administer contracts, including interim valuations, payment applications, and final accounts
  • Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers on commercial matters
  • Identify cost‑saving opportunities and manage risk
