Job summary

Jones Engineering, a leading engineering services company, seeks a Quantity Surveyor in London to support the Construction Team and Senior QS on commercial aspects of projects. The role involves advising on commercial status, reviewing contracts, and preparing reports, with exposure to variations and subcontractor accounts.

The successful candidate will have relevant qualifications, prior experience in a similar role, strong IT skills, and the ability to work well in a multi-functional team.

Qualifications

• Relevant third level qualifications are an advantage but not essential.
• Previous experience in a similar role.
• Ability to work both individually and as part of a multi-functional team.
• Excellent IT Skills.
• Demonstrates excellent presentation, verbal, written, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Working directly with Contract Managers to advise on Commercial status of projects.
• Assisting in the review of all project contracts
• Assist the Senior QS with the preparation of Commercial Reports.
• Negotiation with contractors across all projects including preparation of variations.
• Manage major subcontractor accounts from initial award to interim valuation, variations and final account.
• Assist the Senior QS with monthly progress applications.
• All other duties associated with this role.
