Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial and operational teams across a range of refurbishment and maintenance projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurate cost management, tender preparation, commercial reporting, and ensuring projects are delivered within budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documentation
  • Develop and manage cost plans and project budgets
  • Source, manage, and evaluate subcontractor tenders and quotations
  • Carry out value engineering to optimise cost and design
  • Monitor costs throughout each project, including variations and final accounts
  • Provide risk analysis, forecasting, and commercial advice to project teams
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure contractual compliance
  • Produce commercial and financial reports for senior management
  • Ensure adherence to internal procedures and industry accreditations
Person Specification / Requirements
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Ideally 3+ years' experience in a Quantity Surveyor role within refurbishment or building maintenance
  • Strong knowledge of UK construction contracts and procurement routes
  • Excellent numerical, analytical, and cost-modelling skills
  • Competent in producing bills of quantities, cost plans, and variations
  • Strong communication skills across all project levels
  • Highly organised, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proactive, commercially aware, and able to work independently
