Quantity Surveyor - Wickford, Essex | Up to £60K + Benefits 🔹

We're seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to take full commercial ownership of projects from inception through to final account. This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable and growing business offering genuine career progression, autonomy, and variety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take full commercial responsibility for assigned projects from start to finish
  • Prepare and manage budgets, cost plans, and cash flow forecasts
  • Lead subcontractor procurement, tender analysis, and contract negotiations
  • Administer subcontractor accounts, valuations, variations, and final settlements
  • Prepare and agree monthly applications for payment and CVRs
  • Monitor financial performance and proactively manage risk and cost control
  • Support and mentor junior Quantity Surveyors
  • Maintain effective communication with clients, consultants, and project teams
  • Ensure accurate and timely commercial reporting
  • Oversee contract compliance and change control
Candidate Requirements
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years' experience with a main contractor
  • Strong understanding of JCT contracts and construction law
  • Proven track record managing projects across multiple sectors
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and organisational skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and commercial software
  • Confident presenting commercial reports and leading meetings
  • Full UK driving licence
