This Job is being advertised by S&D Trade Recruitment who operate as an Employment Business.

We are currently on the lookout for an Experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our valued client based in Bristol, who deliver turnkey Fit‑Out and Refurbishment projects within the Commercial, Retail, Hospitality and Education Sectors throughout the UK.

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be working within the Hospitality Division of the business, taking charge of the Commercial Delivery of various Hospitality and Pub Fit‑Outs across the UK, responsible for cost control from Tender to Final Account, working closely with the Contracts and Site Teams, as well as Clients and Suppliers to ensure projects are delivered profitably, on time and to the highest standard.

Whilst this role is primarily office based, there will be occasional requirements to travel to various sites across the UK for site/client meetings, however any overnight stays or travel costs will be compensated/covered.

Job Responsibilities

• Preparing tenders, cost plans and commercial submissions.
• Obtaining and comparing subcontractor and supplier quotes.
• Raising orders with subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring clarity on scope, cost and programme.
• Managing project costs, variations and valuations through to final account.
• Negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors to achieve best value.
• Supporting site teams with cost control and procurement on fast‑turnaround refurb projects.
• Attending progress meetings, reporting commercial matters and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Ensuring compliance with company policies, contracts and health & safety requirements.

Requirements For The Role

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in fit‑out, refurbishment or hospitality/retail projects.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to manage multiple projects at once.
• Good knowledge of contracts, cost reporting and procurement processes.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Comfortable working in live environments and to tight deadlines.
• Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management (RICS desirable, not essential).
• Full UK driving licence (travel required).
