This role will be within our water and wastewater capital project delivery team.
Our teams deliver large‑scale capital programmes aimed at keeping water infrastructure resilient for the long‑term while protecting the environment.
As our Quantity Surveyor you'll be working on our Water Network Alliance contract in Wales.
You’ll be part of our commercial team who are responsible for delivery of all commercial task on the Welsh Water Framework.
Be an integral member of the Commercial Team, led by the Managing Quantity Surveyor.
Build a strong relationship with client counterparts.
Ensure all M Group Water and Client processes are followed to minimise WIP (outstanding cash) and keep WIP within the contract and business target.
Ensure cash is received on time at forecast level.
Production of Monthly CVR’s.
Manage and price change within the terms of the contract.
Provide support for pricing contracts working closely with the client.
Assist the procurement and management of sub‑contractors and other suppliers.
To develop and implement changes to process, following understanding of a need to make changes to improve performance.
Produce and present productivity measures linked to the operations resource to ensure tender compliance.
Do you have excellent negotiation skills?
Do you have knowledge, understanding and previous experience of NEC contracts?
An awareness of all relevant statutory, regulatory and company policies and guidelines.
Are you able to react to constant changing workloads?
Knowledge of service delivery within the utilities sector is desired.
Good organisational skills and effective communication skills.
Do you have experience in cost role desired with knowledge of sub-contracts?
