Qualifications

• Good working knowledge and understanding of construction contracts.
• A history of working on Energy projects would be an advantage but not essential.
• HNC/HND/BSc in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management or by experience.

Responsibilities

• Handle valuations and remeasurement of drawings and quantities.
• Oversee subcontractor management, procurement, and payments.

Quantity Surveyor – Southampton

We are currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to join our Energy Division, based at our Head Office in Southampton. The Quantity Surveyor will manage the commercials on a variety of civil engineering projects throughout the UK using NEC4 Options A&C.

The first project will be to a large civil engineering project in East Yorkshire. Works comprise of earthworks, piling, RC structures, paving, & drainage.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Valuations
• Remeasurement of drawings and installed quantities
• Change Control
• Subcontractor Management/Procurement/Payments
• Monthly Commercial Reporting
• CVR's
• Cash Flow Forecasts
• Updating Risk Register
• Dispute Resolution
• Final accounts and audits

Desired Skills / Background:

• HNC/HND/BSc in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management or by experience
• Good working knowledge and understanding of construction contracts
• A history of working on Energy projects would be an advantage but not essential
• Previous experience of NEC4 Options A&C
