Job description

We are currently looking for a Quantity Surveyor in the Shepshed area to work within the commercial team of a well-established social housing contractor, based out of their East Midlands office.

The role of Quantity Surveyor
  • Guide the financial management of the joint venture maintenance contract, ensuring financial targets are achieved
  • Provide an effective interface with the clients, partnering management, consultants and suppliers
  • Validate and approve subcontractor quotations to ensure value for money is achieved
  • Collate, submit and agree applications/payment with the client
  • Ensure that cost information is collated monthly, and the necessary risk and opportunity are accounted for
  • Ensure that the contract is properly informed as to the commercial and financial position so it can best make business decisions
We would love to hear from a Quantity Surveyor who has
  • Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction sector
  • Detailed understanding of contracts
  • Strong analytical, financial and numeracy skills
  • Negotiation skills
In return, the Quantity Surveyor will receive
