Job summary

JAM Recruitment Ltd in Port Glasgow is seeking a Construction Quantity Surveyor for an 18-month contract on a 24-hour-per-week schedule. The role is hybrid with on-site/remote balance.

You will prepare cost estimates, monitor costs, manage procurement, and administer NEC contracts while liaising with clients and contractors to control commercial risk and maximize value.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction.
• Strong knowledge of UK construction practices.
• NEC contract experience.
• Strong commercial and financial awareness.
• Experience with cost management, procurement and contract administration.
• Experience managing variations, claims and final accounts.
• Strong numerical, analytical and negotiation skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or related subject.

Responsibilities
