We’re delighted to present an exciting opportunity for an ambitious, strategic, and commercially astute Quantity Surveyor to join the delivery team for a £65 million energy infrastructure project in South Wales. This role offers more than just a new challenge – it’s a genuine chance to transition into the booming UK energy sector, gaining experience on a high‑profile project that’s driving progress toward a sustainable future. For the right individual, there’s a clear path to progress into a Commercial Lead position as the project develops and the team expands.

The Role

As a key part of the commercial team, you’ll support the management of all financial and contractual aspects of this landmark project, ensuring commercial success and strong stakeholder collaboration.

You’ll Be Involved In
  • Managing and overseeing subcontractor accounts and valuations.
  • Supporting the Commercial Manager and contributing to the leadership of the commercial function.
  • Maintaining accurate cost, risk, and performance records.
  • Conducting cost analysis and implementing cost‑saving measures.
  • Reviewing contracts, rates, and budgets to optimise commercial outcomes.
  • Producing detailed and insightful Cost Value Reports (CVRs).
About You
  • Have experience in the utilities or infrastructure sectors and are keen to step into the energy industry.
  • Possess strong commercial awareness and sound decision‑making skills backed by data and experience.
  • Are confident communicators who can influence, negotiate, and build strong relationships.
  • Demonstrate excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem‑solving ability.
  • Hold a degree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or bring equivalent industry experience.
