Job description

Our client, established over 50 years ago, is a specialist Civil Engineering contractor operating in the South West. Due to continued success and growth, our client is recruiting for an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor who has previously worked within the Civil Engineering sector. Our client is interested in applicants that have worked for either Tier 1 or 2 Civil Engineering contractors and have knowledge of NEC form of contract. This role will be project based on a 250M heavy civil engineering scheme in Somerset.

As a Project Quantity Surveyor, you will:

• Maintain accurate records, control and reconcile costs and value, report variances against agreed performance, compliance and finance targets.
• Take control of change management.
• Be involved in a review of current procedures and processes and assist in the implementation of new and revised processes where required.

Our client requires a Project Quantity Surveyor with:

• Previous experience of working for Groundworks or Civil Engineering contractors.
• Strong commercial awareness and acumen.
• Degree, or similar, in Quantity Surveying.
• A working knowledge of Microsoft Office incl. Excel and Word.
• A valid UK driving license.

Salary/Benefits:

• Up to 65,000 per annum
• Benefits package including car allowance, mileage (45ppm), pension scheme and annual leave
