Job summary

United Infrastructure in Manchester seeks an experienced Lead Quantity Surveyor to own the retrofit stream under a Guinness Partnership contract. You will manage CVR, cost plans, and procurement, leading a commercial team to deliver value across SHDF-funded retrofit projects.

Based in Manchester, you will report to the Commercial lead, drive cost certainty, and collaborate with design, construction and operational teams to exceed financial targets.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a Quantity Surveying role, ideally pre-construction.
  • Strong knowledge of CVR processes, cost planning and budget management.
  • Experience leading commercial teams and mentoring staff.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the pre-construction commercial function across projects.
  • Own divisional budgets, cost plans and financial forecasting.
  • Manage CVR processes and provide timely financial reporting.
  • Oversee procurement strategies and supply chain engagement.
  • Present commercial updates to senior stakeholders.

We are looking for an experienced and commercially driven **Lead Quantity Surveyor** to take ownership of an Retrofit Stream of work that we have coming up through our Guinness Partnership contract.The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for the commercial management of SHDF-fundedretrofit projects delivered under a long-term partnering contract with Guinness.
