Job description

Altrad are currently on the lookout for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the business to work on offers challenging high-impact projects with ambitious plans for revenue expansion offering the chance of progressive career in a rewarding environment through astute commercial management. The position will oversee all commercial and sub-contractor aspects to ensure projects are delivered in line with client expectations through clear reporting outputs and alignment to internal commercial objectives.

Key Deliverables

• Take ownership of commercial activities across a range of projects, ensuring accurate commercial management, compliance, and proactive cost control
• Prepare estimates for a range of reimbursable and fixed price mechanisms inclusive of tender preparations and contract documents
• Prepare submissions of circa 20 monthly high-value valuations against a pre-determined submission schedule
• Communicate with client commercial representatives across three client entities
• Responsibility for preparation of internal month end CVR reports
• Composition of cost and KPI reports for site-wide works to present to the client
• Provide cost analysis and contractual alignment for feedback to internal senior management
• Manage company internal commercial expectations and communicate associated risks
• NEC experience required for turnaround works
• Preparing early warning notifications and managing client communications
• Subcontractors: Commercial management of multiple subcontract packages
• Regional contract support for additional call-off works required for turnaround/projects on an ad-hoc basis
• Driven and conscientious Senior Quantity Surveyor with significant experience on major construction projects within a highly regulated industry

Qualifications

• Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts
• Understanding of the NAECI Agreement
• Power BI for cost and data analysis
• Excellent communication along with negotiation and stakeholder management skills required
