Amcogiffen is seeking a commercially minded Quantity Surveyor to join its growing rail/civil engineering team. Based in Barnsley, you will manage financial and contractual aspects across multiple projects, supporting commercial decisions and ensuring value for money.
You will oversee payments, variations, CVRs, forecasts and final accounts while collaborating with site teams to deliver projects on time and within budget. Rail experience is advantageous but not essential.

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a growing commercial team supporting a portfolio of rail and civil engineering projects throughout the Eastern Region, including station enhancements, buildings works and Access for All (AfA) schemes.
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will play a key role in the commercial and financial management of projects from procurement through to final account. This position offers the opportunity to work on major infrastructure schemes while developing your commercial expertise within a supportive and collaborative environment. Current projects include station enhancements, Access for All schemes, bridge interventions, structural upgrades and refurbishments, line-side civil engineering works, platform improvements, footbridges and associated infrastructure projects throughout the Eastern Region.
