Job Description

A leading Irish main contractor is seeking a capable Quantity Surveyor to join their London team on a major residential project. This is a great opportunity for a QS looking to take the next step in their career and play an important role in the commercial delivery of a high-profile development. You'll support the project team in ensuring works are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with commercial management, including cost planning, estimating, and reporting.
  • Prepare and manage interim valuations, variations, and final accounts.
  • Monitor project costs and support risk management, cost control, and value engineering activities.
  • Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, and the internal delivery team.
  • Support procurement, tendering, and subcontractor management.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, contract requirements, and quality standards.
Required Qualifications & Experience
  • Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management.
  • Part-qualified or working towards RICS (desirable).
  • Experience on residential or mixed-use projects in London or the UK.
  • Good understanding of JCT / NEC / modern contract types.
  • Strong commercial and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work well within a project team and communicate confidently with consultants and subcontractors.
