Clearfield are currently recruiting an experienced quantity surveyor, to work with a medium size, family run main contractor based in West London.

Projects are typically JCT design & build, responsibilities will include managing up to 3 projects simultaneously ranging from £2m-£10m in value across the M25.

Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking to make a real impact on high-quality residential developments? Our client, a dynamic and fast-growing design & build residential contractor based near Hillingdon, is seeking a proactive and detail-driven QS to join their expanding team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work on new build projects ranging from bespoke homes to multi‑unit developments. You'll be involved from tender through to final account, working closely with the commercial and site teams to ensure financial control and value for money across all stages.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all costs relating to residential construction projects
  • Prepare tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities
  • Conduct cost analysis and risk assessments
  • Manage subcontractor procurement and payments
  • Provide regular financial reports and cost forecasts
  • Liaise with project managers, architects, and contractors
What We're Looking For:
  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor in residential construction
  • Strong understanding of the full project lifecycle
  • Experience with both pre- and post-contract duties
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and financial skills
  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar (preferred)
  • Experience using ASTA.
  • UK driving licence
