Job summary

Kenton Black Limited are supporting a client with a Freelance Senior Quantity Surveyor role across civil engineering and infrastructure projects. Hybrid working from the Gloucester area, long-term freelance contract, Outside IR35 and a competitive day rate offered.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering or infrastructure.
  • Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts.
  • Experience managing subcontract procurement and administration.
  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of project cost control and commercial reporting.
  • Experience delivering projects within infrastructure, highways, flood alleviation, structures, industrial, or commercial sectors would be advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently whilst supporting a wider project team.

Job description

An opportunity has arisen for a Freelance Senior Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial delivery of a range of civil engineering and infrastructure projects across the region. Working on a hybrid basis from the Gloucester area, you will be responsible for managing commercial activities throughout the lifecycle of projects, ensuring robust cost control, contractual compliance, and effective risk management. You will work closely with operational teams, clients, and subcontractors to drive project success and maximise commercial performance. This role would suit an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in civil engineering, infrastructure, highways, structures, flood defence, or related sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Full commercial management of civil engineering and infrastructure projects.
