Overview

Our client, a leader in essential infrastructure services, is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their Water and wastewater capital project delivery team. This permanent role will be playing a crucial part in delivering large-scale capital programmes to maintain and enhance water infrastructure across Scotland. You will be part of a respected and experienced team, working to protect the environment and ensure the resilience of water services for future generations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administering the commercial and financial aspects of the Capital Delivery Framework
  • Working closely with delivery teams on clean and waste infrastructure projects
  • Supporting delivery management and on-site teams
  • Ensuring operational control of costs, maximising value, and minimising future liabilities
  • Assisting the Estimating team to ensure robust estimates align with project scope
  • Preparing Subcontracts and procurement strategies in collaboration with relevant teams
  • Producing accurate live forecasting and reporting in line with work breakdown structures
  • Monitoring actual costs, providing variance reports, and suggesting resolutions
  • Ensuring project team members understand contractual arrangements
  • Maintaining proper records for financial audits and cost assurance
Job Requirements
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor
  • Valid UK driving licence
