Job summary

Meridian Business Support Ltd is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to support commercial and contractual management across varied projects. You will work with senior surveyors and multidisciplinary teams, gaining valuable hands-on exposure on office and site-based work.

The role offers hybrid working with up to 2 days from home, training support, and opportunities for professional development within a growing consultancy.

Qualifications

• Experience in cost planning, budgets and feasibility appraisals.
• Experience with tender documentation and procurement processes.
• Experience preparing valuations and final accounts.
• Familiar with JCT contracts and contract administration.

The Company

The company is a multidisciplinary property and construction consultancy working across social housing, residential, commercial and public sector projects that delivers expert advice across quantity surveying, building surveying, architecture and structural engineering.

This is a great opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor who wants hands on project exposure, support from experienced professionals and a clear path for development within a growing consultancy.

The Opportunity

In this role you’ll support the commercial and contractual management of projects across a varied portfolio, gaining valuable exposure to both office and site based work. You’ll work closely with Senior and Chartered Quantity Surveyors, as well as wider multidisciplinary teams, clients and contractors across a range of projects.

What You’ll Do

• Supporting cost plans, budgets and feasibility appraisals
• Assisting with tender documentation, analysis and procurement recommendations
• Helping prepare valuations, payment recommendations and final accounts
• Monitoring costs, variations, risks and project expenditure
• Reviewing contractor applications, drawings, specifications and contract documents
• Supporting contract administration, including JCT contracts
• Attending site visits, client meetings and contractor meetings
• Maintaining accurate project records and delivering a professional service to clients
