Overview

A privately owned regional civil engineering firm in Hampshire is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their team. The company undertakes projects including coastal defence, port & harbour regeneration, river management, and public realm schemes. The Quantity Surveyor will be part of a commercial team on a major civil engineering infrastructure project due for completion in 2030. This is a hybrid role, with three days per week on-site or in the office.

Responsibilities

• Collection, review, and analysis of site data, and maintenance of cost records
• Subcontract procurement and change management
• Completion of early warnings, compensation events, and agreement with the client
• Carry out monthly Cost & Value reconciliations
• Forecasting cost throughout the project life cycle
• Preparation of monthly project valuations and agreements with the client through to the final account

Experience Required / Qualifications

• Educated in BSc Quantity Surveying or equivalent
• Demonstrable minimum of five years post-graduate experience on civil engineering projects
• Excellent working knowledge of NEC contracts is highly desirable
