Size Group Limited is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join its permanent team in the UK. You will take ownership of the commercial management of our projects, ensuring robust financial control from start to finish.

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will prepare cost plans, evaluate change events, manage subcontractor procurement and maintain risk registers while building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years’ experience in quantity surveying.
• Experience with a main contractor desirable.
• Strong knowledge of JCT contract forms.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.

The Role

As a Quantity Surveyor, you’ll take ownership of the commercial management of our projects, ensuring robust financial control and compliance from start to finish.

Reporting to the Commercial Manager for the project, you’ll oversee a range of financial elements, from preparing and reviewing cost plans and tender documentation to evaluating change events and managing risk.

Working closely with clients, subcontractors, and project teams, you’ll ensure commercial objectives are achieved, budgets are maintained, and JCT contracts are administered effectively.

Additionally, you will:

• Lead on cost forecasting, reporting, and financial analysis
• Manage subcontractor procurement, payments, and performance
• Produce monthly valuations and maintain the risk and opportunity registers
• Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders

About You

To be considered as a Quantity Surveyor, you will have:

• A minimum of three years’ experience in quantity surveying, ideally with a main contractor
• A background in the prime residential sector and structural experience is highly desirable
• Strong knowledge of JCT contract forms
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills
• A degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
