Hill McGlynn is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a well‑established residential developer with a strong reputation for delivering quality housing projects across the South East. Our client is now looking to strengthen their commercial team with the appointment of an experienced Quantity Surveyor to be based in Dartford.

The Role

As Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the financial and contractual management of residential developments, ensuring efficient cost control and contributing to the successful delivery of each project. You'll be working within a supportive and professional commercial team, reporting to a Senior QS or Commercial Manager.

The developer is known for having realistic build programmes and a well‑structured approach to project delivery – a great opportunity for a QS looking for stability and long‑term progression.

Responsibilities
  • Management of costs and valuations across multiple residential plots
  • Procurement of subcontractors and materials
  • Preparation of budgets, forecasts and CVRs
  • Liaison with site teams, subcontractors and internal stakeholders
  • Cost reporting and risk managementFinal accounts
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within residential housebuilding
  • Strong working knowledge of COINS software – this is essential
  • Good understanding of JCT contracts
