Job summary

TXM Recruit is seeking a Quantity Surveyor with M&E experience to join an award-winning FM company on a permanent basis. The role covers managing project lifecycles up to £3 million in value and requires robust cost estimation and budgeting capabilities.

You will prepare detailed cost estimates, monitor expenditures against budgets, implement cost control measures, and liaise with project managers, engineers and contractors.

Qualifications

• Over 3 years' experience as a qualified QS with industry recognised qualifications.
• Experience using industry specific software and product knowledge.
• Experience working on M&E projects up to £3 Million in value.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Monitor project expenditures continuously, comparing actual costs against budgets to identify variances early.
• Implement effective cost control measures to optimize resource allocation and reduce waste.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to negotiate contracts and procurement agreements.
• Conduct regular site visits to assess progress, verify quantities, and ensure adherence to financial plans.
• Prepare comprehensive reports on financial status, forecasts, and risk assessments for project stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, legal regulations, and industry standards related to cost management.

Hours: Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week. 7:30AM-4PM.

Pay: £55'000 per annum + package.
