Quantity Surveyor - Coventry

This could be your opportunity to excel as a Quantity Surveyor as well as playing a vital role in helping our business succeed.

As our company grows and develops, we are ever expanding our teams. We have a great opportunity for a dedicated Quantity Surveyor to join our Infrastructure division and wear the SOCOTEC badge with pride.

We are looking for a reliable, flexible and motivated Quantity Surveyor to join our Materials Testing team. As a member of Infrastructure, you will be exposed to a variety of unique projects throughout the country. It is key that you have the balance of being independent, while simultaneously being a strong team player.

Responsibilities of the successful Quantity Surveyor:

• Applications for payment
• Identify, notify and price change
• Managing cost control and financial aspects of key projects
• Providing expert advice on contractual claims and final accounts
• Conducting new award / contract reviews
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project success

Skills and experience of the successful Quantity Surveyor:

• Degree qualified in a relevant construction or property discipline
• Proven experience in quantity surveying, minimum 3+ years post-degree experience
• Must have NEC3/4 contract experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
• Proficient in Microsoft Office packages (Word/Excel/Outlook/Teams)
