Role Overview

We are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join our client's team to manage project costs, budgets, and commercial reporting across multiple building and refurbishment projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute and technically competent candidate to develop their career in a supportive, client-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and tender submissions.
  • Monitor and manage project finances, including valuations, variations, and final accounts.
  • Liaise with project managers, site teams, and subcontractors to ensure efficient resource allocation and cost control.
  • Manage procurement and place orders with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery.
  • Attend client and stakeholder meetings to provide commercial updates and financial guidance.
  • Maintain accurate project records, correspondence, and documentation.
  • Support continuous improvement and best practice across projects.
Requirements
  • Degree or HND in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5-10 years' experience in a QS role, ideally within refurbishment or contractor-side projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, commercial processes, and cost control.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant QS software and MS Office.
