Quantity Surveyor - Design & Build Contractor
London & South East Permanent

We are working with a respected Design & Build contractor who deliver a diverse portfolio of commercial, education, and healthcare projects across London and the South East. With a strong pipeline of secured work, they are now looking to appoint an ambitious Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.

The Role

As Quantity Surveyor, you will manage the commercial and contractual aspects of D&B projects from tender through to final account. You'll work closely with project managers, design teams, and clients to ensure cost efficiency, strong financial control, and successful delivery of schemes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and manage valuations, variations, and cost reports.
  • Procure, negotiate, and manage subcontractor packages.
  • Monitor budgets and forecast project costs.
  • Support tender submissions and contract negotiations.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual terms (JCT/NEC).
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and internal teams.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within a main contracting or D&B environment.
  • Background in commercial, education, or healthcare projects (preferred).
  • Strong commercial acumen and excellent attention to detail.
  • Good knowledge of JCT and/or NEC contracts.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proactive and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
