The successful candidate will manage subcontractors, cost forecasts, and commercial aspects of projects while ensuring compliance with contracts. The ideal candidate will have extensive NEC Contracts experience and a background in utilities projects, working within a hybrid setting.

Qualifications

  • Experienced Utilities Quantity Surveyor required.
  • NEC Contracts knowledge essential.
  • Major Projects experience is highly desirable.

Quantity Surveyor required to work for Principal JV on High Speed Rail London Tunnels Programme.

Contract - Inside IR35

North Acton - Hybrid working arrangements in place.

Experienced Utilities Quantity Surveyor, NEC Option C, Major Projects Experience required.

Role Brief: The role of Quantity Surveyor is responsible for providing accurate and value generating input to projects. The role ensures that all commercial aspects are carried out in accordance with the contract, company policies and procedures, and to the satisfaction of the customer and/or contract leader. This role will be working under the direction of a Senior Quantity Surveyor as part of the Utilities teams. The QS will be able to demonstrate the ability to function as a member of an integrated team.

Main Responsibilities
  • Subcontract management
  • Inputting to the efficient and effective management and issuing of accurate, timely and compliant notices and correspondence
  • Preparation or assessment of applications, valuations, cost/value reconciliation.
  • Cost control and forecasting. Prepare and provide input to monthly reports: value, cost, profit/loss, cash flow and budget.
  • Preparation and agreement of applications for payment or the assessment & preparation of payment certificates.
  • Assisting with Risk and Value Management to optimise solution. Monitor and regularly review with the project team. Identifying, analysing and developing responses to commercial risks.

NEC Contracts knowledge and Experience essential and QS experience on Utilities Projects highly desirable
