A leading Building Surveying and Cost Consultancy is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their team in London. Experience within the social housing sector would be an advantage.

You will be responsible for providing comprehensive quantity surveying services to clients across various sectors, as well as supporting and advising other members of the Quantity Surveying Department.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform quantity surveying duties, including cost planning, preparing tender documentation, on-site valuations, interim payment applications, and Bills of Quantities.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external parties to ensure all project information is available for successful implementation and completion.
  • Maintain relationships with existing clients and develop new business opportunities.
  • Update knowledge and skills through regular CPD activities and stay informed about legislation affecting quantity surveying.
  • Attend meetings with other company functions to support duties and business development.
  • Complete and submit administrative tasks such as timesheets, expenses, and database updates accurately and timely.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Quantity Surveying, be chartered, and possess post-qualification experience across various building sectors. Ability to generate new business, strong negotiation skills, and a track record of achieving fee targets are desirable.
