Job summary

A leading energy provider in London is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to manage contract compliance and cost control on projects. The ideal candidate will have RICS certification, a degree in a relevant field, and experience in the offshore wind industry. You will be responsible for monitoring budgets, processing payments, and managing contract variations to ensure project success. This role offers a chance to work with a major player in the energy sector.

Qualifications

  • RICS certification is mandatory.
  • Degree qualified in a commercial subject, engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience in quantity surveying and contract management, preferably in the offshore wind industry or similar energy projects.
  • Extensive knowledge of contract change management & claim management in FIDIC, BIMCO and LOGIC based contracts.

Overview

My clinet is a large energy provider working all across Europe and they are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to work in London, UK.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the monitoring and reporting of package budget and cost controlling (quantity surveying) and fulfilling all documentation for the cost-plus scope.
  • Processing contractor payments accordingly.
  • SAP operations when needed for cost control.
  • Proactive contract management to ensure a full alignment of the project team to meet the given contractual obligations of both parties as well as on the commercial alignment of work progress with the defined project budget.
  • Advice package and manage variation requests and/or notices from a contractor.
  • Ensures that contractual variations and changes or claims with regard to the scope of delivery and services, prices, timeline or other contractual agreements are enforced and up-to-date.
