Quantity Surveyor - Leading Construction Consultancy

Location: Farringdon, London (Hybrid - minimum 3 days office-based)
Salary: 35-65K + Bonus + Excellent Benefits

I’m working with a leading and innovative construction consultancy that is expanding its cost management team. They are seeking a confident, commercially minded, and ambitious Quantity Surveyor who wants to make an impact within a growing, forward‑thinking business.

You will work across a diverse range of private and public‑sector projects from 1m to 350m, with significant involvement in healthcare and residential schemes, delivering both pre‑ and post‑contract cost management services.

The Role
  • Deliver best‑practice cost and commercial advice across multiple projects, including healthcare and residential schemes.
  • Manage commercial resources from inception through to project completion.
  • Work closely with clients and stakeholders, ensuring expectations are managed throughout procurement and delivery.
  • Provide accurate cost monitoring, forecasting and reporting.
  • Identify and manage commercial and project risks, maintaining robust risk registers and contingencies.
  • Lead multidisciplinary project teams including designers, contractors and suppliers.
  • Support continuous improvement in commercial processes and project outcomes.
  • Maintain clear reporting structures to ensure projects meet agreed budget and programme targets.
  • Promote strong contractual, commercial and legal compliance.
  • Support the development of junior commercial staff.
About You
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Construction Management or related field.
  • Ideally 3+ years' experience within a consultancy environment.
  • Experience delivering healthcare and/or residential projects.
  • Strong experience in cost planning, value engineering, risk management and post‑contract services.
  • Excellent understanding of the JCT suite of contracts.
  • Confident communicator with strong client‑facing and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to support business development and generate new enquiries.
